Ok guy troubles i really need an answer its insane!!!!!?

well theres this guy in my homeroom that i've liked 4 a year now and i told my best friend to try to talk to him and figure out who he likes and he told her that he likes me and waz thinking about asking me 2 the dance but he also said that he liked another grl but he liked me more and then i told my friend to convice him 2 ask me out well he told her hey when you get a chance to talk to saleena (me) tell her that im not gonna go out with her i mite date someone else! and well my main question is wat should i do should i act like i nvr liked him i mean i nvr told himn i liked him neither did my best friend so y is he telling me that well im confused wats going on plz help me im a confused teenager and i need help!!!!!!!!!!
