Why do Indian people say "actually" all the time when answering a question.?

They do it so often that my friends and I call them "actuallies" instead of Indians. My friend didn't believe me, so I had him call his phone company to ask a question about his bill, and since a lot of our customer service jobs have been shipped overseas of course an Indian answered. We kept a tally of "actually" and also had to start a tally for "basically" and at the end we had 13 incidents of actually and 9 of basically. LOL
